As an adoptee through Catholic Social Service, Richard began to look for his birth parents after noticing the natural ear and talent that both he and his own daughter had for music.
His recent album entitled Trinity is a tribute to the sacred triad that exists between birth parents, adoptive parents, and an adoptive child. Richard writes: "Trinity was inspired by God, my family and both old and new! Trinity was inspired by my own personal experience with adoption and finding my birth parents.
